Selfpost

Partner terms

Terms of the Selfpost partner program. Effective 29 October 2026.

1. Parties and subject

The partner program is run by Tim Hausl-Kramper, trading as THK-Media, Sonnweg 17, 3463 Stetteldorf am Wagram, Austria (“Selfpost”). A partner is anyone whose application Selfpost has accepted by email.

Partners recommend Selfpost with their personal link (selfpost.app/invite/…) and receive a commission on payments by customers who come through that link. No employment, partnership or agency relationship is created; partners may not make statements on Selfpost's behalf.

2. Admission and account

Selfpost decides freely on applications. Taking part needs a Selfpost account with the email address given in the application; it holds the link, the figures and the payout details. Partners must be of legal age and give accurate information.

3. Attributing customers

When someone opens the partner link, the code is stored in their browser for 60 days. If they make a new Selfpost account in that time (or join the waitlist through the link and later make an account with the same email address), the account is attributed to the partner for good. With several links, the one opened last counts. Existing accounts, accounts that already had a plan, and the partner's own accounts are not attributed.

Technical limits (for example cleared browser storage, ad blockers, switching devices) can prevent attribution; there is no right to attribution after the fact.

4. Commission

The partner receives the share shown in the partner area (currently 30 %) of all payments by an attributed customer for Selfpost subscriptions (plan and add-ons), excluding VAT and net of credit, discounts, refunds and chargebacks, for the period shown (currently 12 months) from the customer's first payment. One-off purchases of AI credits are excluded.

Each commission is provisional for 30 days. If the underlying payment is refunded or charged back in that time, the commission lapses in whole or in part. Later refunds are set off against future commissions.

Customers who come through the link receive starting credit (currently €15); commission is only calculated on amounts actually paid.

5. Payout

Commissions due are paid once a month by bank transfer (SEPA) or PayPal once at least €50 is due; smaller amounts carry over. Complete and correct payout details in the partner area are required.

Commissions are gross amounts and include any VAT owed. The partner is responsible for paying tax on their income. A VAT-registered partner gives their VAT ID; the parties agree that Selfpost issues a self-billing statement for payouts where the law requires one.

6. Rules for recommending

Posts, videos and pages with the partner link are advertising and must be clearly marked as such (for example “Ad”, #ad or the platform's paid-partnership label).

Not allowed: spam (unsolicited messages, mass email, comment spam), misleading statements about Selfpost, its prices or features, bidding on “Selfpost” or similar terms as a search ad keyword, domains or profiles that can be confused with Selfpost, acting in Selfpost's name, coupon or cashback sites without consent, and any form of self-referral or bought signups.

Selfpost's name and logo may only be used to recommend Selfpost and as described in the brand kit.

7. Changes, pause and ending

Selfpost may change commission rates and these terms with 30 days' notice by email; commissions already earned are not affected. Either side may end participation at any time.

For breaches of these terms Selfpost may pause or remove the partner at once; commissions from customers won against the rules lapse. After an ending without a breach, commissions earned until then are paid out once their 30-day wait is over, even below €50.

8. Liability and final provisions

Within the partner program Selfpost is liable only for intent and gross negligence and as mandatory law requires. There is no entitlement to any number of customers or amount of income.

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer protection is unaffected. Questions about the program: [email protected].
