Data deletion instructions
How to delete Selfpost data, close an account, and revoke provider access.
In-app deletion
Delete media from the Media page. Delete draft or scheduled posts from the post detail page. Workspace owners can delete a workspace from Settings. Delete your entire Selfpost account yourself from Account settings → “Your data”, next to the data export; if you cannot reach that page, email [email protected] from the account address where possible.
Account deletion asks for explicit confirmation. If an active paid subscription exists, it is cancelled with Stripe before the erasure proceeds. For requests sent by email, THK-Media verifies identity proportionately and then runs the same protected deletion workflow.
Disconnect social accounts from the Accounts page. Disconnecting revokes Selfpost's Google (YouTube) and TikTok access at the provider and deletes the stored tokens, cached account details, capability data, and statistics. For Instagram, the token and cached data are deleted immediately.
Provider revocation
Instagram: open Instagram → Settings and privacy → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Active → Selfpost → Remove (https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/). TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Manage app permissions → Selfpost → Remove access. Google/YouTube: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
After revoking access at the provider, reconnect may be required before future publishing or capability checks can succeed.
Meta's signed data-deletion and deauthorisation callbacks are implemented: when you remove Selfpost from Instagram, Meta notifies Selfpost and the stored token, cached account details, capability data, statistics, and post identifiers for that Instagram account are deleted. Deletion requests return a confirmation code whose status you can check on this page.
Request assistance
If you cannot access the account or want to exercise a GDPR right, email [email protected] from the account address where possible. State the account and data concerned; never send a password, access token, signed media URL, or payment-card number.
Published content may remain on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube until you delete it through that platform. Selfpost account deletion cannot erase a record held independently by a social platform.
